Compliance
Foreword
Care is the backbone of our society. It ensures the well-being and health of millions of people and deserves the appreciation of all of us. But demographic change and the shortage of skilled workers pose immense challenges for the German care sector. In order to counter these, we at RecruitMed rely on international recruitment of skilled workers, which is much more than a purely economic process. For us, it is a social and human responsibility.
With this ethical compass, we want to create a clear guideline that guides our actions and ensures that our values – respect, fairness and transparency – are at the center of all our activities. Because we are aware that professionals who migrate to Germany through us not only contribute to better care, they also enrich our society with their individual skills, stories and cultures.
This ethical compass is not just a guideline, but an expression of our commitment to integrity, professionalism and humanity. It is our aim not only to meet the economic requirements, but also to meet the social and cultural dimensions of our field of activity with the greatest sense of responsibility.
The RecruitMed Ethics Compass is intended to serve as an orientation for all parties involved – our partners, care facilities, specialists and, last but not least, our own team. Together we want to create a system that is characterized by humanity, trust and integrity.
The current “Quality and testing regulations” for the “Fair recruitment Care Germany” seal of approval apply.

Management, RecruitMed
Mission
RecruitMed has set itself the task of sustainably strengthening the German healthcare sector through international recruitment and providing people from third countries with career prospects in Germany.
In doing so, we face the complex bureaucratic and political challenges of our time: from lengthy recognition procedures and labor law regulations to socio-political debates on migration and integration.
We are committed to overcoming these hurdles through expertise, transparency and commitment and to creating a fair and legally secure framework for all those involved. Our aim is to develop sustainable solutions that stabilize the care sector and at the same time do justice to the people behind the processes.
Vision
We see a healthcare system that is strengthened by international cooperation in which barriers – be they bureaucratic, linguistic or cultural – are specifically dismantled. Our vision is a German healthcare sector in which cultural diversity is not only accepted, but actively experienced as an enrichment.
Through clear processes and innovative approaches, we want to shape a future in which nurses from all over the world not only contribute their professional skills, but also become part of an open and inclusive society.
The Ethics Compass
1. Respect and appreciation
- We treat all people – regardless of their origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or cultural background – with respect and appreciation.
- In every communication and cooperation we meet at eye level and promote a positive and appreciative working atmosphere.
2. Transparency and honesty
- Our processes are characterized by openness and clarity. All parties involved receive comprehensive information about working conditions, legal requirements and cultural peculiarities.
- We communicate realistic expectations and avoid false promises.
3. Compliance with legal and ethical standards
- RecruitMed is committed to strict compliance with all legal requirements in Germany and in the countries of origin of its employees.
- Our actions are based on ethical standards that exclude discrimination, exploitation or any form of abuse of power.
4. Fairness in the recruitment process
- Every person has access to equal opportunities, regardless of social or financial background.
- Our selection processes are based on objective criteria such as qualifications and professional aptitude, with no room for prejudices or personal preferences.
5. Transparency & participation of the nursing specialist in the entire application process
- Our candidates will be fully informed about all steps and requirements in their native language at the beginning of the program. In this way, we ensure that you understand all phases, expectations and perspectives and can make informed decisions for your professional path.
- Throughout the entire process, we ensure that candidates have access to up-to-date and relevant information at all times. Through this continuous transparency, we create trust and provide orientation in an often complex process.
6. Responsibility for integration
- We accompany people not only during the recruitment process, but also upon their arrival and integration in Germany.
- This includes assistance with official procedures to ensure smooth migration processes, as well as a detailed cultural orientation that prepares for living and working in Germany.
7. Dealing with challenges
- Conflicts or misunderstandings are addressed openly and solution-oriented.
- All parties involved have the opportunity to submit concerns or complaints, which RecruitMed handles conscientiously and confidentially.
9. Responsibility of the whole team
- All employees of RecruitMed are committed to living this ethical compass and implementing it in their daily work.
- Our team is continuously working on improving processes and further developing ethical standards.
With this ethical compass, we want to ensure that our cooperation is characterized by integrity, professionalism and humanity – today and in the future.
Job offer
RecruitMed provides each nurse with a comprehensive job offer that contains essential details about the employer and the position to be filled. The offers include information such as scope of duties, working conditions and remuneration. Nurses have the opportunity to carefully examine the offer and decide whether to accept or reject it.
Responsibility and ethics in the international recruitment of specialists
RecruitMed is committed to ensuring a fair and ethically responsible process for the recruitment and integration of nursing staff from third countries. We are actively committed to compliance with international laws and human rights standards to ensure fair and sustainable cooperation. These principles also apply to our international partners, whom we actively involve and whose compliance we regularly check.
As part of our ethical principles, RecruitMed is committed to not recruiting nurses from countries that are currently on the WHO Health Workforce Support and Safeguards List. This measure ensures that our recruitment practices do not place an additional burden on the healthcare systems of particularly affected countries and that we act responsibly in a global context.
Our guiding principles:
1. documentation and verifiability: All processes are recorded in writing to ensure transparency and traceability.
2. free of charge for caregivers: The entire placement process is free of charge for caregivers.
3. limitation of financial risk: Caregivers are protected from economic burdens or risks in the recruitment process.
4. full transparency: Information on structures, services and costs is accessible to all parties at all times.
Our commitments:
- WHO Code: No recruitment from countries with acute skills shortages.
- Recognition of international rights: Conformity with UN and EU human rights standards.
- ILO guidelines: Implementation of fair labor and recruitment policies.
Employer pays principle
RecruitMed’s Employer Pays Principle ensures that all recruitment costs are borne by the employer. Nurses are completely exempt from any direct or indirect recruitment costs.
RecruitMed undertakes not to charge the nurse any direct or indirect recruitment costs or costs for services directly related to the placement. This obligation applies to the entire service chain.
RecruitMed accepts responsibility for its own violations, as well as for violations by third parties acting on behalf of or in the name of RecruitMed, which violate the quality and test regulations of the “Fair Recruitment Nursing Germany” seal of approval. In the event of violations of the “Employer Pays” principle within the service chain, payments to the nursing professional will be reimbursed by RecruitMed.
Our commitments:
- Nurses do not pay fees for placement or related services.
- Employment contracts do not contain any clauses on reimbursement of placement costs.
Seal of approval
https://www.faire-anwerbung-pflege-deutschland.de/
RecruitMed was awarded the “Fair Recruitment Nursing Germany” seal of approval in 2022, which was developed by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) and the Kuratorium Deutsche Altershilfe (KDA). This seal stands for the highest standards of fairness, transparency and the protection of international nursing staff.
The standards of the seal of approval are based on four central areas: transparent processes, protection of care workers, market-oriented placement solutions and regular independent monitoring of the agencies. It creates the basis on which all parties involved, from nursing staff to healthcare facilities, can work together in a trusting and sustainable partnership.
Taking responsibility, shaping integration
RecruitMed recommends that employers provide active measures for the integration of international nursing staff. These include targeted language support, structured induction programs and company integration management that is tailored to the needs of new employees.
The appointment of an integration officer or the introduction of a mentoring program is also recommended as a supplementary measure to ensure individual guidance and support.
Options in the German recognition procedure
According to Section 40 of the Nursing Professions Act (PflBG), applicants have the option of choosing between a knowledge test and an adaptation period in order to compensate for existing differences in qualifications. It is expressly emphasized that the decision on the choice of compensation measure is the responsibility of the specialist.
